This is what I would tell my gran kids when I am old
When I am old I would tell my gran kids how coronavirus shut down everywhere around the world. I would say, on new year's eve 2019 somebody in China caught a disease from an animal . People called the disease coronavirus but its scientific name was Covid 19. Then other people in China started travelling and spread the coronavirus all over the world, especially Italy. New Zealand was in level 4 lockdown, no one could go anywhere except for essentials jobs and to get essential things like groceries. We had to have school online on our chromebooks. We used this website called google hangouts to talk to each other from home. All the nurses and doctors had to wear personal protective equipment to protect themselves from covid 19. That is how I would explain it to my grandkids. The end
Super interesting summary of Covid 19 Violet! It is a really strange time isn't it? I wonder how our grandkids will react when we tell them about it, I wonder if they will even believe us! Great description Violet, you've really thought about all the different ways that the virus has affected our lives and how we are having to do things differently.
